This release note compares the Process Flow visual v2.0.0.12 with the now deprecated SCvation-Flow-Basic visual v1.2.2.11 and does therefore not include any features that were already available before. For a full list of features, please see the Process Flow product page.
Please note that this release is a major breaking change. Replacing a SCvation-Flow-Basic visualization with a Process Flow visualization in your report will not carry over any previously set configuration options and may remove fields from the dropzone. It is for this reason that this version is published as an new and independent visual.
New features
- Added selection support to the build-in variant bar chart (documentation)
- Selecting a variant will change the values shown in the metric gauges accordingly
- Supports single selection by clicking on one of the bars
- Supports multi selection by holding the ctrl key whilst clicking on additional bars
- Supports selection of the “Rest” variant
- Selection can be reset by clicking anywhere on the process graph background or by clicking again on the selected variant
- Selections can optionally interact with other visuals in your report (documentation)
- Significantly improved the readability of process graphs by utilizing a new layout algorithm
- Most layout related configuration options have been removed and are no longer available
- Transition lines are now very unlikely to overlap each other
- Transition metrics (previously called transition info boxes) are now less likely to overlap with each other and with other transition lines
- Start and end transitions are now marked with dashed lines
- Added support for utilizing a field’s configuration to determine the format that should be used when printing a value
- Cases, events, timestamps and tooltips now always use the format configured for the respective field
- Format of decimal numbers and dates now automatically adjusts to the current locale
- Configuration options for manually specifying the regional number and date format have been removed and are no longer available
- Added support for automatically determining a fitting display unit for large numbers

Changed features
- Switched to the Power BI formatting pane for visual configuration (documentation)
- Almost all configuration options have been renamed and/or moved into a better fitting category
- Automatic migration from the old configuration structure to the new one is not supported
- Adjusted allowed fields for timestamp and tooltips dropzones (documentation)
- Timestamps no longer allow measures
- Tooltips now also allow groupings
- Changed cut-off points for the data limit to always keep 3 variants fully intact (documentation)
- Allows exploration of bigger processes even without a valid license
- Improved the look and feel of the metric gauges
- Currently selected values are now additionally displayed as percentage
- Gauge bars are now animated
- Improved the text rendering in the graph for some browsers (Firefox particularly)
- Changed the default event name from “__NULL__” to “No event”
Removed features
- Removed the build-in title
- Power BI provides a title and subtitle option for any visual, which should be used instead
- Removed the event zoom functionality
Fixed bugs
- Fixed the Power BI context menu not being available on the whole visual
