New Features Golden Path Highlighting The visual now calculates the transition sequence followed by the majority of cases and applies a distinct, configurable highlight to these paths. Customization options include high-contrast color overlays, variable path widths, transparency, and a specialized “Glow” effect to distinguish the primary flow from deviations. Includes built-in conflict detection that suppresses the highlight if multiple variants share the same highest case count, ensuring data accuracy. Golden Path Metrics Panel A dedicated side panel is now available to provide deep-dive KPIs specifically for the Golden Path compared to the overall process. New Data Loader To improve the user experience during large data refreshes, a new data loader has been implemented. When visible, it features a live row-count indicator, providing real-time feedback as the visual requests successive data segments from Power BI. Changed Features Quick Menu Overhaul — The Quick Menu has been completely revised as a floating vertical toolbar with enhanced logic and customization. Pinning & Collapsing: Users can now choose between a “Pinned” (always visible) or a collapsible mode via a new chevron toggle. Tile Visibility: Authors can now individually toggle the visibility of specific tiles, including Golden Path, Transition Metrics, Panels, and Minimap. UI Integration: Integrated Zoom actions tile (formerly Zoom actions button) and the Info Tile directly within the quick menu. Save/Restore Pattern: The menu now remembers the visibility state of side panels, allowing users to collapse and restore their specific panel layout with a single click. Dynamic Gauge Synchronization — The KPI gauges in the Metrics panel have been updated to respond dynamically to Variant Zoom settings. When “Sync with Zoom Level” is enabled, gauge max values are automatically adjusted to reflect the current filtered dataset (e.g., top 25% of cases) rather than the absolute total.

New features New Setting: “Quick Menu” New Setting: “Collapse all” Users can now instantly collapse and expand all events across the entire timeline with a single click. Category New Setting “Indicate missing endtime” This setting allows you to clearly identify events that have been created without a defined end date, often used for ongoing or pending items. None Symbol: displays a prominent warning symbol next to the event’s duration value Arrow: renders an extended arrow at the end of the event bar, visually signifying continuation beyond the currently defined endpoint. Both: activates both the warning symbol and the extended arrow for maximum clarity. Axis New Setting “Timeline end” This allows you to customize the end point of the visualized timeline, ensuring the scope fits your needs. Auto: The system automatically calculates and selects the most optimal timeline end point to comfortably fit all your recorded events. Today: The timeline visualization is explicitly limited to the current date, regardless of future-dated events, providing a focused view of past and present activity. Product: Data Slicer visual for Power BI v1.3.34.1 Related Product Version: 1.3.34.1 Last Updated: October 22, 2025 We are excited to announce version 1.3.34.1, a major update that significantly enhances the Data Slicer visual’s date formatting capabilities. This release introduces a comprehensive set of features designed to provide greater customization, improve data accuracy, and streamline the user experience — all while ensuring robust and reliable performance. New features Input-Output masks / Date formats A brand-new feature giving users granular control over date formats for both data entry (input) and display (output) across Interval and Textbox modes. Highlights: Independent control: Users can now set different formats for date input and output, allowing greater flexibility than before. Location: The new Masks settings are located under the Values card in the Formatting settings panel. Context-sensitive visibility: The Masks section only appears when working with a valid date type data column. Input mask behavior: By default, masks align with local date settings and the structure of the connected data column. Users can enter dates using the selected input mask format, or the default Power BI format. Selecting an input mask does not automatically change the output mask. Output mask behavior: Selecting an output mask offers additional flexibility for data entry. The system automatically normalizes all valid inputs to match the output mask for consistency. Data Slicer now supports a wider range of date formats to accommodate different regional and user preferences in both Textbox and Interval modes. Newly supported formats: dd-mm-yyyy, mm-dd-yyyy, ddmmyyyy, mmddyyyy, yyyy-mm-dd Format compatibility This intelligent feature prevents invalid or conflicting date format combinations. Conflict prevention: The system automatically disables incompatible format options to avoid data conversion errors. Smart dropdown filtering: If Power BI interprets data using a month–day–year chain, all day–month–year formats will be disabled (and vice versa). Date support in Textbox mode Data Slicer now fully supports date type data columns in Textbox mode. Show delimiter and show column name switches Two new toggle switches enhance placeholder customization in Textbox mode: Show delimiter (default: ON) and Show column name (default: OFF, date columns only). Changed features Placeholder behavior Placeholder handling has been made more dynamic and user-friendly. Custom placeholders always take precedence; otherwise the active input mask format is shown automatically. Formatting settings panel The date formatting UI has been streamlined. The “Use date format as placeholder” switch was removed (deprecated) in favor of automatic placeholder behavior, controllable via the “Show placeholder” toggle. Fixed bugs Clearing filters in Textbox mode Improved compatibility with native Power BI buttons, including the “Clear all slicers” action, across Textbox and Interval modes. New features Added new formatting setting to configure the transparency of transition start and end markers (default transparency for both: 0%). Added new formatting setting to enable variable line width for transitions. The special values of 98 and 99 for line width are now deprecated but still supported. Changed features Expanded the interactable area of individual bars in the variant chart to cover the whole width, not just the visible bar. Improved scaling of (event, counter and metrics) box dimensions when the contained text’s font size is increased. Increased the padding of (event, counter and metrics) boxes to improve text readability for all font sizes. Adjusted how transitions and their start/end markers are rendered to make their direction more recognizable: start marker color now matches the line’s default color, end markers default size increased to 8 (from 5), end markers always render on top of start markers, and a small gap was added between the start marker and the transition line. Other changes Optimized the visual’s performance — reduced the time to load, transform and analyse the dataset, speeding up refreshes by a factor of 10 or more; reduced the time to apply a selection in the variant bar chart.

Please note that this release is a major breaking change: replacing a SCvation-Gantt-Basic visualization with a Process Gantt visualization in your report will not carry over any previously set configuration options and may remove fields from the dropzone. New features Automatic locale-based formatting: timestamps, tooltips, decimal numbers and dates now always use the format from Power BI’s current locale; manual regional format options were removed. Automatically determined display units for duration values, with new “auto (min)”/”auto (max)” options for Category and “auto” for Parent category. Added a legend explaining the 5 different formats (Category: Past, Active, Future, Error; and Parent category). Display duration value units next to the duration value. Axis total number unit can be displayed next to the value. Y-Axis alignment: labels can now be aligned left or right. Round corners for Categories/Parent categories, configurable individually. Parent categories can now be displayed as a bar or a line, each with its own default line width. Option to disable tooltips entirely; tooltips are now also shown when hovering over duration values. Changed features Switched to the Power BI formatting pane for visual configuration; most options were renamed/reorganized, with no automatic migration from the old configuration structure. License Manager upgraded — old SCvation-Gantt-Basic keys are not compatible with the new visual. License and Data Limit notifications repositioned to the bottom of the visual. Watermark appearance slightly changed; only visible in the free version when limits are reached or licensed features are changed. Axis visibility split into 3 toggles (entire axis / axis scale-line / axis labels) for more granular control. The Data limit settings were moved to Advanced/Batch load, with “Data Limit: Number of” renamed to “Level” and “Data Limit: Count” renamed to “Batch size” (now freely configurable 1–1000). Error bar configuration moved below the Future bar configuration. Duration units changed from singular to plural. Events where both timestamps are missing are no longer drawn with the current date — they are simply not drawn. Removed features Removed the regional format selection (Power BI’s regional setting is now used automatically). Fixed bugs Fixed several filtering issues, including incorrect Category highlighting across Parent categories, filter state after re-clicking a label, and Parent category filtering via the duration value. Axis: fixed label overlap, misalignment with gridlines, incorrect leap-year handling, cut-off first timestamp, sub-millisecond step handling, and locale string formatting. Current Timestamp: no longer drawn outside the axis range; correctly converts to relative time when the axis uses relative time. Category / Parent category: fixed outward-scaling borders, overflowing duration values, and bar height not scaling with duration value size. Title: fixed font cut-off and disabled line wrapping. Watermark: fixed scaling issues across narrow/wide and tall/narrow visuals. Fixed date format issues caused by improper locale string implementation.
