Product: Power BI visuals, MicroStrategy visuals Related Product Version: all Last Updated: August 1, 2024 Summary After purchasing one of the SCvation organizational visual packages your company’s contact person will be provided with login credentials for the SCvation Customer Portal. These credentials allow access to a dedicated download area for your visual package. Action Note the username and password you received by email. These will be sent in two separate emails, for security reasons. Only your company’s contact person receives them and is responsible for distributing them to colleagues. Navigate to the login area on the SCvation website. The login button is at the top right of the SCvation website. Enter the username and password you received by email and click “Login”. Navigate to the download area in the SCvation Customer Portal. Download the visual package available in the “Shared with me” section. Unzip the downloaded package in File Explorer. For Power BI visuals, the Zip package will contain a PBIVIZ file and the visual’s logo. Next Steps After successfully downloading the visual package, the next step is to upload the visual to your company’s tenant – see KB0000004 (Power BI).

Product: Data Slicer visual for Power BI, all sources and license types (1113xxxx) Related Product Version: 1.2.1.2 Last Updated: June 26, 2024 Summary Due to a change in the default value for the “Apply filter logic”, the filter button in the quick menu disappeared in some reports automatically. This will not affect every instance of the visual – only those where this setting has never been changed before and is therefore still set to the default value. Filtering does still work, only the logic of how and when the filter will be applied has changed. By default, the filter will now be applied when exiting the search text area by clicking next to the visual. Symptoms Filter icon disappeared from the quick menu; no filtering by clicking the button is possible anymore. The filter is now applied by exiting the search text area by clicking next to the visual. Cause We had to change the default value of the “Apply filter logic” setting because it led to confusion in the Microsoft certification process of the visual, which prevented us from moving forward with certification. The default value was therefore changed to “On exit”, meaning the filter is automatically applied when exiting the search text area. Action If you want to return to the filter button as it was before the update, change the “Apply filter logic” setting in the formatting menu to “Filter Button”. The filter button should be visible again after making this change.

New options have been added to the visual’s formatting pane to change the location and content of the tooltip. Feature changes The default setting for the “Apply Logic” option is now “On exit” to enhance usability. Bugfixes Static license information (KB1130001) – “License type” and “Expiring date” are now displayed correctly.

Product: Data Slicer visual for Power BI, all sources and license types (1113xxxx) Related Product Version: 1.1.x.x Last Updated: June 12, 2024 Summary Due to a bug in the “License” section in the formatting area of the visual, the “License type” and “Expiring date” always only display static values. Entering a custom license key manually still works and it will be correctly applied to the visual. Symptom Entering a custom license key in the “License” section in the formatting area of the visual does not change the displayed “License type” and “Expiring date”. Cause The data displayed in the “License type” and “Expiring date” fields is hardcoded in the visual’s source. We created this hardcode overwrite for testing purposes, but it unfortunately slipped through into production. Action This bug is fixed beginning in version 1.2.1.2. You can check which version of the visual you are currently using by right-clicking it in the visualizations pane and opening the About panel. If you are using an affected version you can still input your license key as normal and it will be applied correctly. As soon as the visual’s version is then updated, the correct information for the “License type” and “Expiring date” will be displayed.
